Photo Shoot on the Sabbath

07.14.2019 by season // Leave a Comment

Family history involves preserving the present. One way my siblings, cousins, and I would do this was through photo shoots on the sabbath! We would gather at our house, walk down the road to the Laie Hawaii Temple or drive to a beach and taken photos together. My sister was the talented photographer behind all of our amazing photos and she captured our lives perfectly in those photos.

As we have all grown and lived our lives, we now have the opportunity to look back and share the stories at the time through the images taken. I’m forever grateful that photography is around to preserve the joyfulness of my family’s life.

Use whatever skills you have to make family history work your own. And never forget how important it is to actively look to the past and consistently preserve our present.
