¡Hola todos! My name is Michelle. I am named after my father Miguel. I am a first generation Mexican American on my father side and a tenth generation American on my mother side. These two perspectives have taught me so much about love and inclusion. I have not always loved family history, it actually has been a very difficult topic for most of my life. In the past 4 years, my life has changed for the better because of my efforts to connect to my ancestors. One of the great purposes of life on earth, is to connect and turn our hearts to our ancestors. Some of the ways I connect to my departed family, is through art, clothing, jewelry and history. I believe we all can find ways to turn our hearts towards our ancestors and gain the strength and resiliency that comes from knowing our history.

Shelly’s story is pretty ordinary. She grew up in small town Missouri and went to college in Utah where she met her husband. She is married to the coolest Filipino and they have 4 adorable kids. As her husband puts it, he and she are your classic jungle-boy-meets-country-girl romance. 🙂
Shelly loves the process of discovering God in everything. She also loves personal growth, record keeping, teaching her children, and watching the sun rise and set.
She loves to connect to the past and present, as well as to record her life, with the future in mind.
Shelly definitely views herself as a work in progress and she’s just trying to be the best version of herself that she can be. She fails a lot. But she gets back up and tries again.

Camille is the mom to 2 rugged and handsome little boys with a cute little princess. She lives in Idaho with her baseball loving husband. They love traveling all over together collecting magnets and memories.
The Mommy Genealogist was started when Camille realized how different (not impossible) it is to do family history with little ones around. She wanted other moms or busy women to realize the blessings that come from knowing your ancestors and teaching others about them .
Camille works part time as the operational manager for a local realtor. She loves to read, be outdoors and hang out with her family; if it’s all three at the same time that’s even better.
